The Registrar’s Office oversees a range of activities in support of student enrolment and learning, including transcripts and verification of enrolment.
VERIFICATION OF ENROLMENT (VOE)
A student may be required by an employer, lender, insurance company, sponsor or other party to provide proof of enrolment at TAK MING University. In many cases, a printed copy of a student schedule showing registered courses, a transcript showing courses completed, or a statement showing tuition fees paid will suffice.
If you have a specific form (e.g. from your lenders) that needs to be filled out and/or stamped to verify your enrolment, please complete any fields designated for the student to fill out, then submit the form in person or via mail, email, or fax to the Registrar’s Office and allow at least five business days for the form to be completed.
If you do not have a specific form, but require a Verification of Enrolment (VOE), please submit your request on this form on the Portal.
Alumni and current students should obtain official transcripts by submitting a Transcript Request Form through the Portal. Former TAK MING University students can obtain transcripts by submitting a completed Transcript Request Form in person, by email, by mail or by fax to the Registrar’s Office.
Minimum processing time for transcripts is five (5) business days after the signed request is submitted and payment received. Note that processing times may increase during peak periods. Transcript requests will not be processed for students with an outstanding financial balance or a hold on their university account until the hold is cleared.
Official and unofficial transcripts requested through the Registrar’s office cost $15 per copy; the fee must be paid before transcripts are released. Methods of payment include cash, debit, cheque (payable to TAK MING University HongKong) and credit card. Current students in good financial standing may have the fee added to their account.

FREEDOM OF INFORMATION AND PROTECTION OF PRIVACY ACT (FIPPA)
A student’s personal information and records are protected by the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (FIPPA). TAK MING University is legally obligated to keep student information—including but not limited to grades, academic records, health issues and disciplinary matters—confidential. TAK MING University is unable to share students’ records or experiences with anyone, including parents or guardians.
Students who wish to grant access to a third party can do so by logging into Self-Service. Under My Profile, click Shared Access. Look for the person’s name in the Invite a User/ Relative dropdown menu. If the person’s name does not appear, you need to link them to your account before you can share access. To link someone to your account, email us and include the person’s name, address, email, and relationship to you.
Students can identify what they wish to share by using the checkboxes. Many students choose to give parents/guardians access to View Balance. This allows the parent/guardian to see the account statement and make payments, and also allows TAK MING University to speak to them about tuition statements. It does not allow TAK MING University to discuss any other information with the parent/guardian.
It’s also common for students to give parents/guardians access to View Schedule; this allows TAK MING University to send the parent/guardian a Verification of Enrolment (VOE), which is often needed to obtain education funds, insurance, medical coverage. No other information—including grades, courses, and personal details—will be disclosed.
